AQUA AEROBICS - A moderate to high intensity, high variety work out. Focus: cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strength and endurance.
AQUACIZE - A low intensity workout. Addresses upper and lower body, core strength, balance and flexibility. Great to cross train with your cardiovascular workout.
SENIOR FLUID MOTION - Designed for senior adults with arthritis. A shallow water exercise program to increase range of motion, strength and flexibility while decreasing pain and discomfort associated with arthritis.
HYDRO SPIN - For those who want to spin! A new and safer spinning /cycling class .YES- in the water. A moderate to high intensity workout emphasizing cardio, toning and endurance. Our HydroRider™ bikes offer other benefits including massaging action, reducing stress on the knees and back and strengthening the lower body. This class is Instructor-led in waist-deep water. The resistance and acceleration are individually controlled so the challenge level is totally up to you! ** There is an additional charge for this class.
HYDRO FIT 1 - Excellent for the beginner or those transitioning from therapy or rehabilitation. A low intensity program emphasizing overall conditioning.
HYDRO FIT 2 - Low to moderate intensity. Emphasis on muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness.
HYDRO SCULPT + TONE - Designed to help strengthen and tone all muscle groups and achieve definition for a desired physique. A great variation for weight training on land.
AQUA YOGALATES - A fusion class that incorporates the basics of yoga and pilates. The elements of water provide a safe yet challenging workout and heightened sense of body awareness.
HYDRO YO CHI -A fusion class using the dynamics of Ai Chi (water Tai Chi) and yoga. Experience the freedom of movement one can only achieve in the water.
H20 Alternative - A total body strength training workout. The elements of water plus resistant equipment provide enormous challenge, variety and positive results. For those who want a change from “lifting” on land or may be recovering from an injury, this is the class for you. Try it - your muscles will love you!!!
H2O PRE AND POST NATAL- Designed to meet the specific exercise needs for mothers to be or new mothers. Emphasis on muscle tone and strength, flexibility, body awareness and relaxation. Baby will enjoy the class too!!!
H2O BABIES - Available for babies 4 months of age through 3 years. Designed to introduce babies to the water and basic swimming skills with an emphasis on safety. Songs, games and FUN make this a most enjoyable and effective class. Parent required in pool with baby. Don’t forget the camera... And someone to take pictures!!!
** Aquatic Classes meet one, two or three times per week. Please visit the Pool Schedule to find the class best suited to your needs. All classes run on a monthly basis (4 weeks each.)
WATSU – Freeing The Body In Water – Watsu is an effective approach to muscle re-education involving gentle mobilization of joints and soft tissue. The client is held and floated in our warm water pool and moved through a series of gentle stretches and rotations. The warmth and continuous support provided by water is ideal for promoting deep relaxation and for freeing the joints and muscles of the body from the compressive and constrictive effects of gravity. Massage is incorporated during stillness and movement patterns, to completely stretch muscle and soft tissue through their full-range of motion. When the whole body is in continuous movement, each move flowing peacefully into the next, deep relaxation is achieved and fear of pain is decreased. Without pain, the body can be moved beyond previous limitations and long neglected connective tissue and the once restricted body begin to show new possibilities of freedom and motion.
**Watsu will be offered in the Spring of 2006 and is an individualized service, by appointment only.
AQUATIC PERSONAL TRAINING - For those who prefer a personalized exercise or wellness program. Our goal is to help develop a balanced aquatic exercise program that fits your specific needs, goals, lifestyle, and abilities. Through a full physical assessment and health history, our Aquatic Personal Trainers will guide and supervise each session and provide you with all that is needed to achieve your goals.
RED CROSS SWIMMING - All levels available.
PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS - For those who need more individualized instruction. Available for adults and children.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING
SPORTS SPECIFIC TRAINING - Available to community and school sports teams. This program provides variation through aquatic training to help further enhance the physical conditioning of young athletes.
